Booking and changing appointments online

SystmOnline allows patients or someone acting on behalf of the patient to proactively manage their care. The online services available include the ability to view an online Electronic Medical Record (EMR) as well as booking appointments and managing medication.

SystmOnline is available as an online service or via apps, providing patients with convenience and flexibility when managing their care.

The SystmOnline apps can be used on Apple devices (iPhones and iPads) and on Android devices (mobile phones and tablets). They can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store and from the Google Play Store. Simply click the relevant logo on the SystmOnline Login page.

Note: SystmOnline is only available from within the UK. You cannot access SystmOnline from abroad.

How to Register for online services

There is a registration process that must be completed prior to accessing
our services online. Please speak to a member of staff and bring photographic ID with you for all adults over 16 years.

Please note, if you wish to view a child’s records we request you contact our Operations Manager for more information.

Routine appointments

Routine appointments for patients can be booked by the receptionists, in person or on your doctors receptionist’s appointment line. The practice uses a text reminder service and may also contact you via text with campaign reminders (stop smoking, flu). Please see a receptionist if you wish to opt OUT of this service.

Urgent Appointments

If you require an urgent ‘same day’ appointment for a concern that cannot wait, please telephone us on 01664 503000. Attendance to IAC is by appointment only, we do not offer a sit and wait service.

You will be offered a same day telephone triage appointment with the Immediate Access Nurse Practitioner. This enables us to triage and prioritise the urgent cases that we receive every day.

The IAC Nurse Practitioner will be aim to support your request for medical intervention on this call.

The Nurse Practitioner will invite you to attend the Practice on the same day if they feel there is a clinical need to see you.

Should you need to see a GP, this will be arranged for you according to your clinical requirements, either urgently on the same day, within 48 hours or in a routine appointment.

Other Services

Before you make an appointment to see your GP, think about what other services might be able to help.

  • Go to a pharmacy for advice and treatment for minor conditions that do not need a prescription.
  • Call NHS 111 if you have an urgent medical problem, but you’re not sure what to do.
  • Visit 111.nhs.uk for urgent medical advice for people aged 5 and over only.
  • Visit a sexual health service for testing for sexually transmitted infections and contraception advice.

You do not have to make an appointment or register for these services.

UPDATES

MEASLES. 

Measles is extremely infectious and can be serious. If you have symptoms of measles, please stay at home and phone your GP or NHS 111 for advice. STAY AWAY from GP surgeries and A&E departments – you could spread the illness to others.

PRACTICE GUIDANCE: COVID-19

Mask wearing guidance has changed for healthcare settings.  Staff will be required to wear face masks in clinical areas.

Patients are advised to wear a face mask when attending the Practice.
