Named GP for all patients

From the 1st April 2015, all practices are required to inform all patients of their named accountable GP. This is part of the GMS contract change for 2015 – 2016 that was agreed between BMA’s General Practitioners Committee and NHS Employers. This means that practices will need to ensure that each patient on their practice list is assigned a named, accountable GP.

Latham House has always operated a personal list system and most patients are already aware of their named GP. We will however, provide this information on repeat prescriptions in the top right hand corner and will advise patients when they contact us or attend for appointments when requested.

New patients will be informed of who their accountable GP is on registration.Patients who wish to change their accountable doctor may choose from the list of doctors whose lists are open each month.
